When in doubt go to pollstar. It is a music bible of opportunity. Just sayin!

Merriweather Post Pavillion is absolutely amazing. Wow Animal Collective. I’m in love.

Communication Fail

Waiting to board my plane now. And noticing how distracted people are by there phones. No one talks to each anymore. In a literal manner of course.

I see Coachella on the Horizon… So excited!

Ready… Go… Adventure Here I Come

I’m officially on what I’d like to call a brief sabbatical to the grind. Also know as life. 3 days till Coachella, 2 days till camping begins, and right now in motion to visit my big sis and family.

I came to the airport 2 1/2 hours early because that’s how anxious I am to get out of here. Took my first cab ride from home to airport. No unnecessary, yet refreshing to be chauffeured for once in my life. Only $26 (which is ridiculous btw). But the upside to this all, I’m officially off the grind, and it feels great. Coachella is always a humbling occasion at best. Just looking to dance, love, and have fun.

Destination: Long Beach Airport

Future Destination: Coachella!

Anxious Level: Very fucking high!!!!

The End to a Long 3 Months is nearing…

These last three months of my life have been quite an adventure to say the least. I somehow fell into the tradeshow industry not knowing what to expect, and have come to learn a lot about myself in this realm of life. In my personal persona I try my best to be carefree and positive with a good head on my shoulders at all times (well I can’t say at all times.. I prove to be somewhat reckless, but that leaves room for a whole other spiel). I’m definitely not perfect, but I think it’s safe to say I’m a good person inside and out. With that said, all in all I am satisfied with life thus far. Alive and thriving!

Working at GES has been a blessing in many respects to an excellent career starter. I always knew I wanted to be a career woman ever since adolescence. I’ve always strived to want to be well respected and knowledgeable at whatever it is I yearn to excel at. GES is my first full time salary job and the learning experience never ends. It is far from being micromanaged, but the pressure to stay ahead of the game is a priority.  After working 55+ hours weekly since January, I’m sure we’d all go a little stir crazy is that was the case. I consider my role as an “Exhibitor Service Executive” to be great preparation to ultimate customer service. I’m slowly becoming jaded to people’s frustrations like I am to my hometown here in good ol’ wild ass Vegas.  I’ve worked approximately 7 shows since January to date and am going on eight by the end of January. Am I tired of it already? No way! After being in this industry only a little over a year I’m still considered a rookie. And I love every minute of it. Although to be perfectly honest I am physically pooped, so April is a month I’m sure we’re all dying to get here, which happens to be right around the corner.  Which leads to my next big passions…Vacation and COACHELLA 2011!

You see music festivals are like a long distance boyfriend to me (sad I compare it to that…but ehh, I like it and that’s all that matters). I look forward to seeing them and getting involved with them. I love everything about them. This will be my sophomore Coachella (meaning numero dos) for me and I couldn’t be any more pumped. I’m counting down the days folks….

GES 1st Quarter Madness

Gee Whiz life has been quite busy for me lately. I’ve worked about 5 trade shows in a row with about 2 days off max in between all the madness. I’ve got no complaints but must admit am doing my best maintain sanity. At first working day to day to day was quite tough in terms of balancing personal and private matters. I really love what I do and promise to update more often, but like Stella, I’m trying to find my groove. I find comfort in knowing I’m not the only one in a amidst a zombie status when I can relate with no one other then my coworkers. I love being busy and occupied so this is a perfect setting for my life right now.

Graduation in 2 months! Heidi Ho!!!

Coachella year two in 39 days!

All is swell =)
